Description of Hotel Vincci Selección Estrella del Mar

The Hotel Vincci Selección Estrella del Mar is set in an exceptional location in the heart of the Costa del Sol, in the area known as Elviria–Las Chapas, regarded as one of the town’s most desirable spots and near what is surely the best beach on this part of the coast.
The concept of Islamic architecture shows up in the different hotel areas. From the outside, its sober front contrasts with the 15.000 m² of gardens, fountains, a viewing point with Mediterranean pine trees and 4 outdoor swimming pools.
In one side of the gardens, at the left of the viewing point, we find the children pool and one of the adult’s pool, both surrounded by sun-beds. On the other side, in two different platforms, we find two larger adult’s pool, one of them adapted for the handicapped by an elevator chair which helps them to get inside the water. This area also features Asian Beds, inviting the guests once again to relax and enjoy.
Vincci Selección Estrella del Mar also offers decoration pieces from Lebanon, Egypt, and some palace in India in which the traditional decoration is combined with Art-Deco elements. The ornamental tiles, windows with white linens and aged materials give the hotel its own personality, its unique character.
The Nammu Areas Spa is one of the hotel’s main attractions. In the Spa, guests can enjoy relaxation and beauty treatments, as well as a small spa circuit including Jacuzzi, sauna, Hamman (Turkish bath), ice fountain and peeling shower.
Additional services such as hairdresser and beauty salon are also provided for hotel guests.
Guests can also benefit from a gym, golfing facilities, water sports such as diving, fishing, underwater fishing and motor launch hire, and other sports such as horse-riding, tennis and paddle tennis. Entertainment features highly in the hotel’s leisure provision, with a programme of activities and entertainment for adults and a children’s mini-club. Leisure facilities also include car hire and an excursions booking service.

24/06/2014 Beautiful hotel, felt very spoilt and well looked after, excellent service from everyone. Lovely furnishings and loved the pool, particularly the infinity pool at the beach club. You needn't leave the hotel at all if you are looking simply to relax and rest in some sun. Review score 10 Rose

15/06/2014 The hotel definitely lives up to its five star rating. On arrival we were given free cava and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room had a sea view and overlooked the swimming pools . The room was very spacious and clean. Fabulous huge bathroom. The safe in our room was free to use which was a nice surprise!! We were breakfast only and whilst the breakfast choices were good, there could have been more fresh yogurts and perhaps more hot food choices. The pools are fabulous, there are 3 to choose from! There is a good poolside bar and lots of places to sit out of the sun on very hot days. The spa and infinity pool are separate to the hotel And we had to pay 39 euros each to use it for the day. We only used the spa as on our last day it was raining in the morning but we did enjoy it and I am glad we got to use the infinity pool. The spa is very luxurious and a real treat if a little pricey. There isn't much entertainment at the hotel so we had to taxi into the centre of Marbella, It's about 17 euros each way . The bar at the hotel is tucked away and isn't very inviting so we tended to go out every evening. On our last evening we caught a ferry from Marbella to Puerto Banus which was only 8 Euros. It's a lovely trip around the bay. We ate in Puerto Banus and enjoyed people watching around the harbour. Very buzzy and a good evening out. There are lots of cafés and bars along the beach near the hotel which are really reasonably priced. Nikki beach is just a short 20 minute walk along the beach from the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel, it's a great place to relax in luxury. I would definitely go back there!! Review score 10 John
