Stayed here on a recent trip to Madrid and was wowed by the hotel , room and staff , would I recommend this to anyone else ? Without a second thought the only downside was the area was a bit noisy. But expected that because of how Central the hotel was Stayed on my own for business for three nights. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was excellent, clean and very well fitted out. Some people had commented on noise from the street in previous reviews but i had no issues in room 403, the shutters and windows when closed blocked out all noise. I've really no idea why this is classed as 2 star. It's stylish and in a great location. I'll probably go back and take my girlfriend! This was one of our best surprises in our trip to Spain. This excellently located hotel is rated 2 stars but to us it definitely deserves higher rating. The hotel has been beautifully remodeled and the rooms and bathrooms are up to par with the most expensive hotels in the city. Even better, the staff. Was the most friendly and helpful we we countered. Javier in the front desk and Sergio provided top service and we were glad to see them when we returned for our last 2 days in Spain. In reality all thestaff was excellent and kudos to management for the right selection and training since it really shows. Perhaps the rating reflects the fact that this hotel's lobby is small, although welcoming, and there are not many other amenities such as a pool and gym. Other than that it is excellent and the daily breakfast is complete with an excellent offering of food, juices and great coffee! Although it is on a very busy and fun street with people there all night, we did not experience noise when we closed the shutters. This hotel is highly recommended! Buenos Noches! Room Tip: Higher Flor rooms. Use the new shutters in the evening and it will provide darkness as well as block...
