My husband and I have just come back from a week at this hotel and I must say its one of the best holidays we have had. I emailed them before we went to tell them it was our anniversary and to ask if they had any really special rooms. When we got there they had upgraded us to a terraced room leading onto the beach. To say it was lovely is an understatement, the beach was stunning, clean white sand and crystal clear sea it was absolutely stunning. The hotel staff were lovely and friendly and the room had everything you could ask for. The breakfast was great, the only draw back was the food in the restaurant. It was fine if you like fish but we found some lovely places to eat in Llanes and Ribadedella ( which has a great market on a Wednesday ). If you want a relaxing holiday away from the tourist places in Spain this is the place to go. This has to be the most beautiful location you could ask for - a real gem right on the most beautiful beach we found in all of Spain The food was great and well priced. Would definitely stay again and in fact would cross half the world to get there. La cocina,empezando por el desayuno y terminando por la cena impresionante,todo buenísimo. La decoración del hotel me hizo viajar a tiempos atrás agradablemente ya te te recuerda a los abuelos que ya no están. Sin dudarlo volveremos a repetir. Por cierto,yo no lo llevé pero admiten perrines. We stayed at this hotel for three nights during a golfing visit to northern Spain. Fellow guests included well-behaved bikers from UK on a rally. The hotel buildings are located right by a pristine cove/beach facing the sea. Had three good dinners in the evening. Decent breakfasts. Attentive staff. Quite a find if you're in this part of the world (about 90 minutes on a good road west of Santander). Recommended. La ubicación del hotel es preciosa. Nos dieron un habitación con vistas a la playa. La habitación y en general el hotel está bastante anticuado, pero merece la pena alojarse solo por la ubicación, aunque entiendo que pueda resultar un poco caro. La habitación aunque estaba muy anticuada, estaba limpia. El desayuno muy completo. El personal muy amable. Merece mucho la pena alojarse en este hotel por la ubicación, sin duda el entorno es clave a la hora de elegir este hotel. Abrir la ventana por las mañanas y disfrutar de las maravillosas vistas no tiene precio, ahora bien, al hotel le hace falta una buena reforma, está poco cuidado, nuestra habitación de no fumadores tenía un fuerte olor a tabaco y a pesar de estar todo el día ventilando el olor no se iba ya que estaba metido en la moqueta. El secador había que pedirlo en recepción cada vez que lo necesitabas, debería haber uno en la habitación, sería mucho más cómodo. Contratamos media pensión y la verdad es que no tenemos ninguna queja, había 3 entrantes, 3 primeros, 3 segundos y 3 postres, así que para una cena más que suficiente, es cierto que muchas veces encontrábamos platos un tanto pesados para la cena (fabada, cocido, lasaña...), era porque el menú era el mismo para comidas y para cenas, pero con tanto plato donde elegir siempre encontrabas algo que te apeteciera. En definitiva, nos ha encantado el entorno, es un hotel al que se va por su ubicación, no por la comodidad y estilo de las habitaciones ya que buena falta le haría una reforma para quitar esa moqueta olorosa que ya pasó de moda...aunque por otra parte no se puede describir con palabras despertarte, desayunar o cenar con unas vistas tan bonitas.If you are interested in Arcea Hotel Mirador de La Franca, you may also be interested in:
